Our Charity Afghans and Pillow assembled by Kathie Eng
Our group makes individual projects and group projects to donate to local San Francisco charities. We've recently donated our group afghans to Laguna Honda Hospital which provides rehabilitation and skilled nursing services to the residents of San Francisco along with out patient care. We've also donated many individual items to Raphael House, which provides a refuge and retraining center to the homeless, battered woman, and children in need along with their families. Participation in our charity projects is always an individual decision and no one in the group is obligated to participate.
Sometimes members of the group make individual squares which are
then pieced together into an afghan by a volunteer (Kathie Eng has been
organizing and piecing together our recent afghans). Every 6 months
or so, we move onto a different project.
